The following are news items that have a connection with charge stripes
in copper-oxide superconductors. Some of the links are to

Brief story on two x-ray scattering studies [PRL 93, 157007 and 157008 (2004)] of
structural modulations in YBa(2)Cu(3)O(6+x) that are pretty
clearly associated with ordering and vacancies of Cu-O chains.
While a possible connection with charge stripes had previously
been proposed, the doping dependence of the modulation period is quite
different, and the local displacements are quite large.
