To: ; ; "Bill Leonhardt" ; ; ; "Joel Mesot" Subject: FW: SING CD-3 Date: Tuesday, August 29, 2006 8:25 AM Dear all, We have heard this morning (e-mails below) that HYSPEC and NOMAD were granted CD-3 (permission to start procurement/construction) by Pat Dehmer at a meeting of ESAAB yesterday. So we can start the process for the procurements we need to make for HYSPEC in the near term, the T0 chopper and Heusler crystals. Part 2 of the August Lehman review recommendations, the accelerated construction schedule, is still to come at a later ESAAB meeting. If/when this does happen we don't expect additional BA to arrive before March/April next year at the earliest. However in the interim, as we have been for the last half year, we will be doing design work that positions us ready to take advantage of the accelerated BA/schedule. Perhaps we should have an IDT executive meeting some time at the start of 2007? We have time to think about that.
