Full announcement:
The Hybrid Spectrometer (HYSPEC) is a unique instrument at the Spallation
Neutron Source (SNS) whose concept combines advantages of the time-of-flight
technique with those of crystal spectrometers. It will also incorporate the
polarization analysis of neutron scattering. HYSPEC construction has begun
in 2006 with the completion scheduled for 2011. An update on the status and
schedule of HYSPEC construction will be presented along with future plans.
